Fair and sustainable travel tips from locals

Simone from Liguria
For many, Liguria is synonymous with the Cinque Terre. Unfortunately, many visitors stop at the Cinque Terre and in the summer it is almost hard to walk through their narrow alleys that run to the sea. That’s why I'd recommend an itinerary along the Italian Riviera di Levante that from the Ligurian side of Lunigiana, on the border with Tuscany, arrives up to Boccadasse, the popular little beach of the Genoese, touching 12 of the most beautiful villages in Liguria.

Emanuele from Venice
You might come to Venice for just a city break but you would miss out on some real hidden gems if you were not staying longer. One local tip I share iwth friends is: Go and discover the beaces of Venice. The beach "Lido" is only 10 minutes of vaporetto ( bus boat ) away from the center of Venice has 11 kilometers of wild, free and managed beaches, clean shallow waters, ideal for family and relaxed swimming.

Marta from Umbria
My family and I invite people to experience our way of life on our little agritourism farm in Umbria. A special event on our farm is the so-called “Saffron Days”. I think this is the most beautiful time of the year, when the saffron is in bloom and we can pick it together with our guests. But also in winter we can pick saffron and I find it interesting to compare young and old plants and to study the different stages of the saffron flowers.
