EACH is their beacon of hope

East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH)
Over 3900 young people in our counties receive a life changing diagnosis. This impacts the whole family’s quality of life. EACH strives to inject splashes of positivity and happiness back into lives, to relieve the physical and emotional pain.

“A hospice is like nowhere you could work and we’re so lucky to spend time in this environment. They’re faultless, purpose-built facilities and everyone works so well within our teams… It’s incredible”

Rachel van den Brink-Budgen
(a clinical nurse specialist at The Treehouse)

Wellbeing work royally recognised

Since 1989, when Princess Diana officially opened Milton’s Children’s Hospice, the remarkable support, provided to the children, extends also to the family; with family therapists, resident chaplains, chefs and housekeeping staff. In the family’s home, at the hospice or hospital, the young people benefit from clinical staff, care assistants, physio, play specialists, and music and art therapists. Today, the holistic, heart-warming work of the charity remains closely supported by Catherine, Princess of Wales, as patron.

“When our little boy passed away, two nurses were there by our side and they were just amazing. I never believed people could genuinely care for others the way they do. […] They made the unimaginable bearable.”

A mum who thanked EACH for offering a safe space to talk openly about her emotions through bereavement.
